Deadly Car Accident Near Chicago Airport

May 26, 2009

On Memorial Day, an elderly man and women died in a car accident near Chicago' O'Hare Airport. An off duty police officer from Itasca was driving home from work when he saw the vehicle engulfed in flames along the Elgin-O'Hare Expressway near west suburban Roselle. The officer, identified as Bill Webster, immediately pulled over, ran to the burning vehicle, and pulled out both the driver and passenger in effort to save their lives. In the process, the officer suffered smoke inhalation, himself, but was later treated and released from a local hospital.

According to the Illinois State Police, the elderly couple was traveling westbound on the Elgin-O'Hare expressway near Meacham Road before their vehicle veered to the left and into the center grassy median where it collided head-on with the concrete base of an overhead sign. A witness to the accident notified police around 3:30 PM. The driver and passenger of the burned out vehicle were pronounced dead on the scene.

Jason handled a very challenging auto accident case for me. My injuries were all based on preexisting conditions that were made worse by the accident. He did an amazing job proving up my case, which included destroying the defense expert at deposition. In the end, I received an excellent settlement on a tough case. Jason is a very smart, talented, and diligent lawyer who I would highly recommend to anyone. Phil S.
