Quaid Sues Baxter Over Babies' Heparin Overdose

May 25, 2010

Actor Dennis Quaid has filed a lawsuit against Baxter Health Corporation after the highly publicized overdose of Quaid's new born twins. Baxter manufactured the drug Heparin, a blood thinner, which was given to Quaid's newborns following their delivery three years ago. The lawsuit was filed after Quaid settled a medical malpractice suit against the hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, for $500,000 last summer. The product liability suit against Baxter alleges their packaging caused the drug mix-up which threatening the lives Quaids children shortly after delivery.

Jason handled a very challenging auto accident case for me. My injuries were all based on preexisting conditions that were made worse by the accident. He did an amazing job proving up my case, which included destroying the defense expert at deposition. In the end, I received an excellent settlement on a tough case. Jason is a very smart, talented, and diligent lawyer who I would highly recommend to anyone. Phil S.
